Life Skills celebrates its 48th year of rescuing individuals with developmental disabilities from institutions; diligently teaching them the skills of life; arranging for them to live independently in the community with varying degrees of loving supervision; helping them find them jobs and meld into society at large. As a result, Life Skills clients are happy and productive members of our community.

Life Skills is thrilled to announce their 27th Annual Golf Tournament, and single largest annual fund raising event. Please share our excitement, with a contribution to the Golf Tournament auction. I request a donation of an auction item for Life Skills’ 2012 Golf Tournament auction. One-hundred percent of the proceeds resulting from your contribution will fund programs and services Life Skills provides for more than 1,500 youth and adults with developmental disabilities.

The Dinner Auction is Monday, July 22, at Meadowbrook Country Club. I am pleased the volunteer leadership for this event includes Honorary Chair Bernie Federko, a former St. Louis Blues player and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee. The event co-chairs are Bob Budenholtzer, former Life Skills Board of Directors Chairman and current Board member; Jeff Hunter, Board member; and Mark Ianni, former Board member.
